The UDAYAL PADAI Charitable Trust has been established with a dedicated focus on enhancing the safety of female students in schools and colleges.

It is unfortunate that in the land where Bharathiyar proclaimed, "we will eradicate the shameful oppression of women," sexual violence continues to be a pressing issue.

Founded in 1774 by the esteemed Maharani Velu Nachiyar, the world’s first female warrior, the UDAYAL PADAI aims to empower women to protect themselves. Over the past three years, we have successfully provided self-defence training to more than 3,000 college students.

We are proud to note that our honourable Chief Minister inaugurated the UDAYAL PADAI during the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Guru Nanak College, Chennai.
